HARDWICK STATE: A town-wide, weekend-long, pop-up Free University
Calling everyone who knows anything about something or wants to knowvsomething about anything! For one weekend this April, Hardwick will bevtransformed into a town-wide university campus where anyone can be a teacher and everybody is a student. Classes will be free or pay-what-you-decide, and can include anything -- from how to change a tire to philosophy 101, from chainsaw repair to crocheting, from cake decorating to improv comedy.
Everyone is an expert in something, so we invite all community members from the greater Hardwick area to consider what expertise they might be willing to share with their neighbors. We welcome all ideas and contributions. A small stipend is available for instructors, and the Civic will find a downtown venue to suit your class.
