Community Meals & Responsive Organizing
Getting people together is at the core of The Civic Standard's mission, and almost every get-together includes food of some kind.
WEDNESDAY SUPPER
Our weekly free supper is the most explicit example of food as cultural organizing. Lots of volunteers help with cooking, and the attendee list varies every week. No reservations required, takeout always welcome.

NEED AN EXTRA HAND?
Our organizing work sometimes looks like throwing a big party and inviting the whole town, and sometimes looks like putting out a volunteer call for mucking basements after a flood. Sometimes we do both these things in the same day. Our relief efforts are responsive, sometimes tiny and unseen, sometimes grand.
We are always listening, so feel free to stop in and tell us what you think is needed, and where the help is missing.
