The Civic Standard is a free supper club, a public living room and a collaborative art project in Hardwick, Vermont.

We are rooted in and listening to our town, always trying to reflect it back on itself.

The Civic creates inclusive events for everyone. From live theater to free weekly meals, from teenage collective organizing to karaoke night, from mending circles to town-wide dances, we are working together to build a common culture.

The Civic Standard was born from the idea that people want to gather with their neighbors, both the ones they know and the ones they haven’t met.
